We are partnering with a private UHNW family seeking an experienced Estate Manager to oversee several residences in Southern California. This is a high-level, hands-on position for someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and passionate about creating structure and maintaining private residences to the highest standards. The Estate Manager will have broad responsibility for the overall operation of the residences, including household staffing and leadership, property maintenance, home systems, vendors and contractors, budgets, inventories, security, and ongoing projects. A significant part of the role will be establishing and refining household infrastructure, including creating comprehensive estate manuals, documenting systems and procedures, developing standards and protocols, and ensuring there are clear processes in place across each residence. This person will also play an important role in evaluating household staffing needs, assisting with hiring and onboarding, establishing expectations, and providing ongoing leadership and management to household employees. They should be comfortable holding people accountable while maintaining a kind, respectful, and highly professional household culture. The family is looking for someone who is very hands-on and naturally notices the details others may miss. This person should be an exceptional communicator and a strong manager who is highly organized, Type A, and always thinking several steps ahead. They should be equally comfortable managing the larger operational picture and stepping in personally when something needs attention. The Estate Manager will work closely and collaboratively with the principals, who are involved and value strong communication and partnership. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-10 years of experience managing luxury residences, private estates, or similarly high-touch hospitality environments and will bring strong operational judgment, financial acumen, discretion, and a genuine service mentality.
